What an amazing day… Honestly this is one of those weddings where I’m lost for words to describe it, so I’ll simply let the images do the talking! When Amy and Dan arrived to discuss their wedding photography and I saw her floral Doc Martins, I knew we’d get along. I had the same beloved Doc’s in a different colour. When they left (after chatting for two hours) I said to Alex, “If they don’t hire us to shoot their wedding, I hope they invite us!” Amy and Dan are one of those couples who just ooze romance, love and fun. Whilst we chatted at our meeting they mentioned their favorite place to go on the weekends was the St Andrews Market and describing it I exclaimed what an awesome place for their pre-wedding shoot that would be. So there we went! They brought along Dan’s other ‘baby’ – his awesome vintage car. The sun was shining, it was a stunning Spring day and all round it was a fun morning full of laughs. Cannot wait for their wedding this coming November, I can tell it’s going to be something pretty epic 🙂

Werribee Mansion Wedding Photography | Sarah & Jay
Jay and Sarah met on a crisp autumn evening in 2010 at a dinner organised by Jay’s now sister in law Jillian and his brother Jay Vern. During the night the romanced blossomed and Jay sneakily persuaded Sarah to give him her contact details, claiming that he wanted her input for an upcoming best man’s speech that he was giving at Jillian and Jay’s Vern’s wedding. He asked her on a date the next day and the rest is history!
Three years later Jay surprised Sarah with a trip to Hamilton Island. On the first evening they went for a walk along Catseye beach where Sarah found a half buried ‘message in a bottle’. As she started reading the message which was from Jay, he dropped to one knee and proposed. The romance followed with a private dinner on the beach.
It’s no surprise that their wedding day was classic, romantic and beautiful. With the gorgeous Werribee Mansion as a stunning backdrop, fitting their day beautifully. The sacred Chinese Tea Ceremony symbolised respect to older generations and acceptance into the family. The tempo changed as celebrations spilled on into the Grand Ballroom. Up until then, everything had gone totally to plan, when suddenly the DJ stopped the music to inform us we had to evacuate outside due to the fire department investigating. Thankfully there was no fire (rather the use of a smoke machine elsewhere!), and the party continued! Sarah & Jay are now settling into their new life in Trinidad where they have been re-located with work.
